RVM Learning Plan

  The lesson plan that I used is the RVM learning plan which is somehow similar from the lesson plan used by my mentor and other teachers in the school I was assigned. Their lesson plan is done by following the several steps. First, identifying and stating the core competency which can be found in the 2013 curriculum, the core competency is the level of competency that the students need to acquire in order to reach graduation competency standard. Second, stating the basic competency which covers four groups, the spiritual, social, science, and life skills that are needed to achieve the core competency. Third, writing the competency accomplishment indicator, it is the observed behavior to show achievement in certain core competency. Fourth, formulating the learning objectives which has four main points, the audience (students) , behavior (competency), condition (behavior to be observed), degree (skills). Then followed by choosing the learning material, time allocation, learning method,and learning activities.

  On the other hand, the RVM learning plan is done by following these procedures. First, identifying the content standard, performance standard, and learning competencies provided in the curriculum guide of the K-12 Basic Education Curriculum, Second, formulating the transfer goal, essential understanding, and essential question. Transfer goal are the qualities that the learners must draw upon and apply from all of what is learned from the entire unit. Essential Understanding refers to the big ideas, concepts that the important understandings  that we want the students to acquire. Essential question is the question raise in the class that will lead them to the essential understanding. Then followed by stating the learning objectives, planning for the differentiated activities, and the assessment and evaluation. What is unique in this learning plan is that, it has the four pronged integration aligned with the core values of the university and contextualization of the topic by relating it to real life issues.
