CURRICULUM

As part of the internship, we will teach on the third week, as I plan for the lesson, I refer to their current curriculum which is the 2013 curriculum and the textbook they have used to serve as my guide. The curriculum focuses on the holistic or total development of students especially in developing their skills and attitude.The aim of the school is to produce graduates who are flexible to the challenges of the changing society. Moreover, according to Samporana (2014), the objectives of 2013 curriculum are to prepare the Indonesian to have the ability as individuals and citizens who believe, productive, creative, innovative, and effective and able to contribute to society, nation, state, and world civilization.

The structure of the SD curriculum is as follows:

Group A is a subject that provides more competency orientation to intellectual and affective aspects while group B is a subject more emphasis on affective and psychomotor aspects.

Integration of IPA and IPS content is based on the meaning of the subject as content organization and not as a source of content. Content of Science and Social Sciences integrated into PPKn, Indonesian Language and Mathematics subjects must be based on statutory provisions.

Thematic learning is an integrated learning approach various competencies from various subjects. Integration is done in 2 (two) things, namely the integration of attitudes, abilities / skills and knowledge in the learning process and the integration of various related basic concepts.

​

Themes give meaning to these basic concepts so students don't learn basic concepts without being related to real life. Therefore, learning provides real meaning to students.
