teaching in class

  My mentor was handling the TEMATIK subject which is composed of three sub-subject the Language (Bahasa), Religious study, and Science, most of the time the class will start at 9:10 in the morning but still she started the class with a prayer observing that faith and piety to God (Allah) is one of the aim of the curriculum that the students should acquire.

  Before starting the new topic, she always had a review through varied strategies, one example is through a song, so that the students will remember and master the previous topics. As I observed, mostly she discussed using deductive or inquiry method, she always provide learning activities and experiences that will lead to students' realizations about the importance and application of it to real life.

​

  As the discussion goes on, she is very attentive to the needs of every students she always made sure that no one will be left behind, she raised questions for further understanding and integration and answer inquiries to eradicate confusions.

​

  Overall, the methods and techniques of the teacher is highly commendable, she really implemented the student-centered approach as stated in the 2013 curriculum that teachers have to shift from being the source of all the information to being the facilitator of students' discussions.
